Each mother is responsible for the actions and safety of their children at all times. Neither the local MOMS Club® nor the International MOMS Club® is responsible for the actions or safety of any children or adults at any time.

  • When disciplining, please remove your child from the immediate area.

  • Hitting, pushing, pinching, pulling hair, swearing, screaming, or destruction of property: if any of these actions occur, the mother should remove the child from the area.  After a short time, the child can resume activity.  If a second incident occurs, the child and mother will leave the group for the day.

  • Biting:  If a child attempts to bite another, the child should be removed from the area by the mother and later returned to the activity.  If a second attempt is made, the child will leave for the day.

  • If a child is overly disruptive at an activity, the mother and child may be asked to step away from the situation until the child calms down.

  • Sickness:  Members and their children should refrain from attending any MOMS Club® activity or meeting if the mother or child has any of the following symptoms 24 hours prior to the activity or meeting: runny nose associated with cold symptoms, cough, fever, diarrhea, vomiting or rash.  Please be considerate of pregnant and nursing mothers with small children when deciding to attend an event.

  • If the child demonstrates the same negative behavior at two additional events, the executive board will forward the details of the situation to the area coordinator for guidance on the situation.

  • Members are asked to use discretion in determining what may be normal child/toddler behavior and behavior that is overly aggressive, putting others at risk to injury.  If any member encounters a behavior or situation that may be harmful to any person, they should contact a board member or the area coordinator.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to speak to any member of the Board.  The purpose of behavior guidelines is to outline what behavior is unacceptable at chapter events.  All Members are reminded to focus on the negative behavior or situation and not the individual(s) involved.
